The Frank Camaratta Signature Series Chess set features a 4.4" King with a 2.0" diameter base and is heavily weighted. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our finest artisans and crafted out your choice of either Antiqued Boxwood/Genuine Ebony or Boxwood/Genuine Ebony. These master pieces are heavily weighted and have luxurious black English leather base pads on each of the Chessmen, each featuring Frank Camaratta's signature stamped in gold.
As with all of our Chessmen, the Frank Camaratta Luxury Chess Set exemplifies a perfect combination of distinct beauty and functionality. It has been designed to withstand the rigors of practical play while maintaining an elegance which has become the hallmark of a House of Staunton chess set. The design, quality and craftsmanship of this set is UNMATCHED by any set of Chessmen in its price range. Nothing even comes close!
The Chessmen are new and each set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard that was introduced by The House of Staunton over 10 years ago.

* The Camaratta Signature Series Luxury Chess Set is the FIRST and ONLY Chess set on the market that has been weighted with the Maestro's proprietary weighting system. This revolutionary technique allows us to achieve the same level of weighting with a minimum amount of material, virtually eliminating the possibility of hairline cracks. This system is also very expensive, costing upwards of $200.00 in material costs for EACH of the sets. No expense has been spared for creating these masterful chessmen.
* Each of the Camaratta Signature Series Luxury Chess Sets is hand-weighted, polished and has the leather base pads applied by the Maestro himself, a very time-consuming process. To insure that each chess set that bears his name is as close to perfect as possible, Mr. Camaratta has chosen to undertake this task by himself.
* The Camaratta Signature Series Luxury Chess Set comes with your choice of Red Burl or Mahogany Fitted Coffer.
* The Camaratta Signature Series Luxury Chess Set comes with a Certificate of Authenticity hand written and signed by the Maestro himself.
* Only 30 Chess Sets (15 in Antiqued Boxwood/Ebony and 15 in Boxwood/Ebony) have been produced! Once they are sold out, this set will be officially retired.

Deluxe Chess Sets is proud to offer the Collector Series Luxury Chess set. This full-tournament sized Chess set features. A full library-sized Chess set, it features a 3.0" King with a 1.5"diameter base. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with gold embossed English Leather base pads under the Kings, luxurious billiard cloth base pads on the other Chess pieces and a beautiful finish. The Collector Series Luxury Chess set has been crafted to replicate the design and proportions of the original Staunton pattern Chessmen, registered by Nathaniel Cook in March of 1849 and first manufactured by Jaques of London in September 1849. The distinctive feature of this set is the the open-mitered Bishop and Knight design, which is modeled after the noble steeds from the Greek Parthenon (Elgin Marbles).

(OUT-OF-STOCK) Natural Boxwood and Blood Rosewood
WOOD DESCRIPTION: 'Beautiful', 'Exotic' and 'Striking' are just a few of the adjectives that Chess collectors use to describe Blood Rosewood. The rarest and most expensive of the hardwoods, it is characterized by its striking dark red color and subtle grain patterns. Its color is often compared to that of red wine and it is truly our most luxurious wood.

THE CHESSBOARD: The Chessmen are new and come housed in a Classical Tiroir Display Chessboard that features two drawers with individual compartments for piece storage. The Chessboard has 1.75" Squares and features Walnut (dark) and Maple (light) squares with a Cherry frame. The Classical Tiroir Display Chessboard has an overall size of 17.5" x 17.5" x 4.5" and has a satin finish.

This incredibly detailed chess set depicts the famous fictional detective Sherlock Holmes, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Sherlock Holmes is featured as the King and his opponents are lead by his arch enemy Professor Moriarty, with the fearsome Hound of the Baskervilles depicting the Knight. Sherlock is accompanied on his adventures by his faithful companion Doctor Watson, while the rest of the set features other leading characters from the famous stories including Mrs. Hudson, Inspector Lestrade, Irene Adler and Colonel Moran. These carefully designed pieces are based on the original drawings that appeared in the Strand Magazine to accompany the Sherlock Holmes Stories.
