Deluxe Chess Sets is proud to offer the Library Broadbent Series Timeless Chess set. A full library-sized Chess set, it features a 3.0" King with a 1.5" diameter base. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and are an exact reproduction of the Jaques of London Circa 1930 Broadbent Staunton Pattern Chessmen, a pattern that is widely regarded by Chess collectors as one of the finest produced by the legendary firm in the 20th century. These Chessmen are an exact match to the original detail, down to the smallest details! The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads on their underside and a rich finish. The most striking aspect of these Chessmen is the beautiful patina of the Boxwood (white) and Genuine Ebony (Black) Chessmen (shown in images above). Our artisans have perfectly captured the rich, golden color commonly found on antique Chess sets. Simply put, these Chessmen look like they could very well be over 70 years old!

As with all of our Chessmen, the Library Broadbent Series Timeless Chess Set exemplifies a perfect combination of distinct beauty and functionality. It has been designed to withstand the rigors of practical play while maintaining an elegance. The design, quality and craftsmanship of this set is UNMATCHED by any set of Chessmen in its price range. Nothing even comes close! The Chessmen are new and each set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens.
